I'm still on my trial version of WOW and I was playing just fine, then I installed the client and all the patches on my PC. Now every time I get on the log in screen, it freezes up every few seconds but it comes back after a few seconds, even during game play with all the setting turned down I don't get a blue screen and I don't have to completely shut down my PC to use it again. I updated all my drivers, ran the WOW repair, ran a Direct X Diagnostic, and even configured my firewall and opened up the ports Blizzard recommended and I'm still getting the mini freezes Here are the specs of my PC

XP service pack 3
AMD 64 x2 Dual Core CPU 3.1 ghz
2 GB G-SKill Memory
Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT 512 MB

Please tell me what I can do to make the game playable again? The WOW forums don't really help

It's just glitches and it might mess up your computer because I use to have it and it run real slow and when I moved it messed up and looked like patches and it messed my computer up because it's an online game and it kinda slows everything so you'd have to have a REALLY REALLY REALLY good computer for that.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.pcboostcleaner.com

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

Something's going wrong with the RAM.

Maybe too much dust .

you should get the memory out and do some cleaning.

Good luck!
