How did my RuneScape account get hacked?

Question

My RuneScape account got hacked today, what happened was i was going to buy some Sara D'Hide Vambs, and some guy asked me if i wanted to join a GWD team, so i said yes, and he asked if i had Skype, and I do so i gave him my Skype account and i ended up talking to these two American lads.

He asked me to post on his thread for his GWD team for the forums so I did, and he said it wasn't there, i believed him at the time.

So what he asked me to do was to Screen Share on Skype to check if that I actually did, it being late i did and then he told me my account was hacked and he'd cleaned me for my 70m.

I didn't react as a little kid would and scream at him, then i checked my account and i'd been cleaned.

What i want to know was HOW can he hack me through that? Is it anything to do with ScreenShare? Maybe a keylogger or something?

I just want to know how this happened, i have not quit runescape and I'm just getting my stuff back.

When you screen share with someone on skype they can control your screen.

i was just hacked too. I logged in a couple minutes ago, i havent been on in maybe a week. i has rsbot but ive been using it for a long time and nothing ever happened. Well i dunno. Im just pissed lol.
