I want to delete the package files, after I extract them. I was just wondering, because they hog up a lot of memory, and I think I heard somewhere that you could. Is this true?
This is from downloading hair/clothes/etc.
Thank you in advance. :))

Are you referring to the .Sims2Pack files that are downloaded and then you click on to install, then the blue box comes up? If so.... yes.... after you've installed whatever, those can be deleted. They install stuff in the Downloads folder of The Sims 2 folder in your My Documents, and that's what the game uses.
EDIT: The .package files in the Downloads folder have to stay. Removing them removes them from the game. Anything else though..... those you can delete.

Once you have extracted it and know for sure its on your game, you can delete them.
I did that once before without extracting them, and all my stuff got deleted.
