Do i need the authentication key to start downloading world of warcraft (i forgot)?

Question

I need to know if i need the world of warcraft athentication key to start downloading world of warcraft. I already have an account; it's just that im getting a new computer and I'm going to download WoW on it but I lost my WoW athentication key. Do i need it still?!?! And if any answers come from people who play on the realm Arthas my name is Ivomanapimp.(on horde) Answer as soon as possible please :)

No, you don't need the key. As long as you know your account name and password you will be fine.

When u have an authenticated account with the retail key applied, what u have to do is logging into ur account, clicking on the "download" next to ur WoW symbol in the summary table near the bottom of the page and then dowloading.

If you already have an account, then you won't need the key. The key is only used to create a new account. Im pretty sure but not 100 percent.

it depends on if your trying to get the 10 day free account if you are then no but if your trail expired then you will need to purchase the game ..... {im getting it today lol} and put the key in just go to the site
