Soo..I know nothing about Counter Strike at all. What I do know is there is counter strike source and counter strike anthology and some others, what one do I get? If I choose , for example, anthology, will I only be able to play the people that have anthology or every one who plays CS? And can I just go buy the game or do I need different accessories? Any thing else you want to let me know I would really appreciate!

Counter Strike anthology has the original CS that was originally a mod of Half Life, Condition Zero which was a "sequel" to CS. There is also Counter Strike: Source which is the "mod" version of CS for Half Life 2. To play Counter Strike: Source you need Half Life 2 or buy it as a stand alone. It also comes in packs with Half Life 2. As for the anthology questions you had if you played either CS or Condition Zero online you can play with anyone playing those games, if they purchased anthology or not. As for accessories i would recommend a headset with mic if you plan to use it , a decent mouse and to be patient, it takes time to learn the game if you really want to play it. Counter Strike always had a somewhat steep learning curve but stick with it and you can have tons of fun.

You could get Counter Strike GO, this one is the most up to date and I think you would enjoy more, if not you could get CS 1.6 or Source, people still play it.

I bought Counter Strike Source. I don't know what the others are, though. I do know that you will not need any accessories. You will just need basic computer part....a keyboard, a mouse, a screen, and a desktop (hopefully with a really good graphics card).

Just buy the latest and play it. (Counter strike: global offensive) or else you will be playing on a server by yourself.

Or if you'd like to practice on the game I reccomend counter strike: condition zero.

Which is just like a mission type version of counter strike. Good for practice.
