Question:
Poor game releases these days.?

Ok, my random thought of the day. Why do game making companies release BAD games these days. Take Fable 2 for example, released with shed loads of bugs. Fallout 3, needs a patch to run it most of the time. Just a thought.

To take off right from what you mentioned, you're looking at sequel games, and RPG's at that. In that area, I couldn't agree with you more. Dragon Age and Mass Effect only got worse in the sequel in my opinion. I think it stems from developers rushing to release big title games, and overlooking details that help games run more smoothly.

That's so not true! Games are getting better with time, I mean just look at the graphics in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood! I'm really looking forward to these new games: Dead Island, Dead Rising 2 Off The Record, Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City, (Yes, I'm a Zombie nerd) COD Modern Warfare 3 and Assassin's Creed Revelations... This year's gonna Amazing for games!!!

I see what you mean with bugs, but the company that makes the Fallout games is a very independent one, it's not from Ubisoft, Activision or EA Games, it's Bethesda Softworks, and who knows what other games they've made apart from Fallout? And anyway it hasn't got that many bugs that make it impossible to play, it's very playable and highly addictive :)

I do know of a game called Alice Madness Returns that does have loads of bugs like freezing, crashing and stuff, but again who made this game? An "Indie" Company called Spicy Horse, no doubt it's bugged, they haven't got enough money to pay testers...

You do know that those were two very popular games right? Fallout 3 was game of the year and they made a sequel. And they also made a sequel to fable 2. So I don't understand how they can be bad games. Sure they have some glitches but what games don't? Just look at any new game and you will find glitches. The job of a game designer is tough bro. The games can't be perfect.

Its usually big games like Fallout, Fable etc, that have lots of bugs, mainly because they are so vast, things are easily overlooked in testing take the "Randomly walking into a mountain" bug in Fallout 3 its unlikely any testers wouldve found it due to the chance of it happening and the map size, but if you take smaller games like Fighting games and certain Shooters, they have small amounts of bugs due to it being easier to find them during testing cus its a smaller game.

Games get better every year, play normal games like COD.
