I didn't know the answer to my secret question so I rang blizzard and they said that I could activate my cataclysm expansion and ring back in 30 days and they would give me my secret question and I rang back in 29 days and then they said they couldn't give it to me yet because it was 29 days and then they sent me this email:

Before proceeding we will need to verify the identity of the registered user before granting the exception of an update to the account in question. Please provide the following information:

1) A legible photocopy of the identification of the current registered account user. Only a government issued photo ID or Birth Certificate (minors only) will be accepted. (School IDs are *not* accepted.)

2) A copy of the TOU (Terms of Use) form completed and signed. Proper contact information should be used. You may find the TOU form here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/bnettouform

3) An authentication key belonging to a World of Warcraft or StarCraft II account that was merged into the Battle.net account. (Key provided must have been added to the account more than 30 days ago):

I find it suspicious that they asked me for my birth certificate and I also don't get why they asked me for my secret question because that was what I was trying to get back.

Sounds more like trying to get a job than a gaming password. It's probably legit, just really complicated.

I'm not sure but my account when i tried to sign is said account not (something) I was thinking i was just behind on my payments. I Had the same problem when i kept on trying im just going to wait and buy all the expansions again and make a new account good by my level eighty. :(
