You can buy the traveler's tundra mammoth from Mei Francis in Dalaran. Alternatively, you can buy one with Stone Keeper Shards from a vendor in Wintergrasp.

Actually they are both wrong. it costs 18,000 gold and is buyable at the Dalaran pet Shop



or 300 Stone Keeper Shards(you get them from doing heroic dungeons at 80 when you control wintergrasp) you can get that in Winter Grasp.



Or! you can get it by getting exalted with Sons of Hodir(WOTLK faction) at exalted it costs 10k gold.



Final option! Farm Vault of Archavon it has a 0.10% drop rate there.
