I bought the game earlier today, all I can say is, I've never been more disappointed in a game in all my life.

When you look at this year's games and even early next year's games, the gameplay seems so smooth, very realistic, and very similar to human anatomy physically and mentally...

When I play Madden, it's just the most phoniest game I've ever played. It's like playing with a bunch of mentally challenged rag dolls... EA Sports is so sad and pathetic, I figured I'd give them a chance this year but my God, I think they made it worst...

Its really, really bad. EA doesn't even try to make these games good, because they don't have to. The NFL handed them a monopoly on the market, so they can get away with doing whatever they want and people will buy the games.



The menu screen this year is completely awful. Nothing about it is intuitive, trying to navigate through things is a complete disaster. A prime example of this is that the "play now" feature, which should be the first option for anyone to click on, is buried in like 5 layers of sub menus. The only change that is even remotely significant is the addition of "owner" mode in the franchise mode setting, but you can't actually do anything new with it. They just rearranged all of the old features and called it "owner" mode.



What's even worse is that the game play has actually declined in quality. The player switch feature is absolutely horrific. It happens automatically a lot now, and when it automatically switches players the game expects you to just take over for whatever player it switched you to, so it disables that players AI. The result is that a lot of times, a player will be switched to when he is pursuit of the ball carrier, and then he'll just sit there and do nothing for about 3 seconds while you try to figure out what the heck happened.



The new trading system is impossible to operate and unless you massively overpay you can't acquire any good players that you would actually want for your team.



Overall its a very, very poorly designed game. The only reason I bought it was because Amazon.com offered a year of NFL Sunday ticket free with it, which in itself is a good enough deal to justify the expense. If you can get the Sunday ticket, do it. Otherwise, this game is absolutely awful.

I am a fan boy and this game is terrible lmao!! Ferocious!! The D Fence well let's just say there is none the CPU running back averages about 15 yards attempt. The CPU can throw all day compared to User Controlled Team, the Commentary is Outrageous... Such a low pitch voice commentator no Excitement, No More Madden Sound Tracks that's been since 13 which is SAD the Plays Routes all have been the Same since the PS1 Games, The Opponents D is almost unstoppable if your having a bad game. I also had an Xbox1 great system. And have Madden25 it was same thing as Xbox360 from what I remember except some things like Graphics! I also had NBA 2k14 for xbox1 and 2k even though they are 2 different sports 2k at least has new ideas every halftime 2k interviews players and stuff it's just so Real and MaddenXbox1 there's really nothing new It's Sad as a Fan that I am had it since Ps1 that how poorly EA has been over the years is sickening Actually... I hope 2k makes the game!! Bc they take pride!

I couldn't agree more! This by far and away is the worst madden. Celebrating 25 years you'd think they'd put all the things in it that made madden great but this game doesn't even feel like a madden game. It is so unrealistic EA should be ashamed and impressed to put this game on the shelf I will never buy another madden game after this they just keep getting worse. I'm one that thinks making a game as real as possible is impossible to do specially a sports game. Seems the harder they try the more the game sucks. Stop trying maybe? I give this game an F and I do not recommend this game to anyone.

I am an "old man" and have played since Madden 92. The Madden Franchise peaked with PS2 from 2004-2009. It is over now, the NFL screwed us all when they boxed ESPN out of their $20 football game and gave EA sole rights. I was disappointed with Madden 25 and will never buy an EA game again until I read reviews that indicate the game is back to the way it was in the mid-2000's

I know some of you have more money than others and dropping 60 for a new release isn't that big a deal but next time why doesn't everyone just wait a week. There are some people who will buy it and tell you if it's bad (Unless they're fanboys). I haven't bought an EA sports title on launch since 2010, which was Madden 11 and just like the complaints of this game the defense was atrocious, zone coverage didn't work at all. Using atl, I gained over 450 yds with Turner and the guy I was playing used the colts. Manning threw for 800+ yds. After this game, I never played 11 again and traded it in for 2k11.



The game industry says they loose money because of used games but when you release games as poorly made as these, what do they expect? Do they expect me to buy the game for $60 when I see the same crappy gameplay year after year. No, I'm waiting for it to drop to $20 because that is what it is worth.NCAA 12 and 13 had freeze problems too and they never got fixed, hell some say the patch made them worse. I used to buy games on launch day. I used to pay $60 for every game but no more.



Really starting to loose my love for gaming and the industry greats who have really turned their backs on us for the "broader" audience and making more money, which I do not have a problem with but look at the ways they are going about it. So, yeah.. Imo Madden sucks balls and is a shadow of it's former greatness, much like the gaming industry as a whole.



I hope next gen will be different, but I doubt it will. If anything it will get worse.

Ive lost the Super Bowl 4 times in Ultimate Team, and just can't seem to win it no matter what my team overall is. I could have 99 John Elway and an elite o line, with 96 Andre Johnson and make it all the way there and lose, or like the most recent one I lost I had a 80 overall wild card team starting 64 overall Case Keenum, with a gold o line, and I still lose. Came up one yard short just like when the Titans lost the Super Bowl. I will be haunted by this forever. Every time I make it to the SB they match me up with a 90+ overall Mexican Vikings fan. Every time. You would think by now I would catch somebody I could beat or at least matchup well against. But no. I continue to play this game FOR NO REASON. Because the Ultimate Team Seasons are garbage, you can't see who your playing it forces you to play a ghost opponnet and pairs you with people who run there damn 99 HB all day. If I am 80 overall why do I keep seeing 99 Walter Payton every game? The online seasons should be run better, meaning you get paired up as you would in real life. Your not going to be the Texans, and play the Seahawks every week. Its not that hard to figure out. Adjust the pairing, have hard weeks and soft weeks just like a real schedule. Obviously the SB will be hard but switch it up. A team thats in there 4th SB should have some momentum and not give up 80 yard runs. EA fix the next one please this is so bad.

I have been buying Madden for many years. It seems to get worse every year. I agree with everything i'm reading. No one has mentioned the two idiots talking. They actually think the game is over at half time. My opponent kicked a field goal right before the end of the first half, and they're saying that pretty much raps up this game.Their favorite saying is" it's better to be ahead than to be behind." They are so lame, my wife asks me to turn the volume down. Once someone fumbles or throws an interception, it's pretty much over. No one can stop me and I can't stop anyone, so we take turns scoring and the last one to score usually wins. Unless the game decides to have someone fumble.

I actually believe that EA is simply on a yearly money grab. I am an online gamer with tons of experience and I'm convinced that they are making this game "playable for all ages". In other words you can pick up the game for the first time and have as good of a chance at winning as a veteran Madden player. Reason being that EA makes you play against the A.I. (online games) and not the actual human opponent. I have seen it time and again. I know I have great skills, but if you are sacked 10 times in a game fumble a few times, and you defense is being steered by the A.I. YOU WILL LOOSE. Madden is a joke of a football game maker that is just in it for the money with no true reasonable minded product testers.

MADDEN has sucked for years but yet idiots like us still buy it... Fake isnt the word for the game play.... Madden 25 sucks bigtime in my book.... All around.... The fumbling is bullcrap on how easy players fumble the ball.... It is like almost impossible to get a sack without a blitz even then its a slim chance to get 1... i agree i cant wait to the people who made 2k make the madden. Who use to make it when it was ps2? it cant be the same people cause the ps2 madden was all good even the qb vision one. ps3 sucks n i really think the time of people making great games is over. First open CCleaner

Go to the Cleaner tab and you will be confronted by a very confusing lineup of checkboxes.

To make this brief, below is my recommended setup:

Under internet explorer check temporary internet files, cookies, and last download location. Most users don't really need this stuff. keep history and bookmarks unchecked, history is a maybe, but you don't want to lose bookmarked sites. You can normally leave Windows Explorer, System, and Advanced alone.

Run CCleaner and it will start deleting files.

afterward it will present you with a list of the files deleted, you really don't need to go through it as it will be several pages long.

The registry cleaner is recommended for slightly more advanced users. Use it after uninstalling programs as they will often leave behind incorrect registry entries.

If you decide to run Registry cleaner then review the items detected and always back up the registry (I keep a folder aside for this)

The Tools tab lets you uninstall programs and set startup programs. Why do you need this if Windows has all of these features? Especially with Vista Home Ed. The windows defender software explorer( startup programs) doesn't pick up some entries (however software explorer is easier to use).

Using CCleaner to uninstall programs and then check for leftover registry entries takes less time.

Under Options you can determine how CCleaner cleans your files. I leave this alone.

@ Reid Brooks--- Agreed the trade logic for the past two editions of the game totally sucks. But you can still do whatever you want.



If you're like me and you love to build or rebuild a team in the draft or via trades then just toggle over (with RS) and become the owner of the team you're targeting a trade with (or I guess coach; I haven't tried it but I'm sure it probably works the same way) and once you've become that owner (or the owner of EVERY OTHER TEAM) any trade you want will go thru with no problem.



I've got 25 1st round draft picks this way for the next 2 years. And I'll continue to have that many if I see fit. It works the same way if you want to get or give players. You can even burn your most hated rival team by giving them your worst player and getting 2 first round picks and their best player. . . .Or whatever you want.



I have no issue with the actual game play itself. So I don't really have an opinion on it. My biggest problem with madden 13 was having to deal with the stupidity of the trade logic. For those of you still playing it you can build up draft picks by burning the computer AI via a glitch in the game. When you go to make a draft pick--pause the draft--make your pick--then pick an offer from anyone trying to trade up--then once you selected the offer just unpause the draft and you've ended up with your player AND a draft pick or two or three. Problem with it is it took at least 2 or 3 seasons to have a stockpile of 1st round picks and the game still wouldn't want to trade a slightly better than average player for a bunch of 1st round picks. It was stupid.



Madden 25 took that out of the equation with "owner" mode and being able to play multiple characters at one time. The trade logic IS stupid; but it's VERY easy to get around it. And because of that I'm really digging this year's madden. Hopefully this will help you guys to dig it a little bit more too.

I loved madden key word loved but I'm so disappointed with the current madden I've played madden since 99' and buy it every year I stopped after 11 because 12 was a horrible madden but I bought madden 25 for ps4 and I play it everyday and I mean everyday online and offline. I'm really good with a crazy winning record online so believe me when I say I notice EVERY DETAIL POSSIBLE and madden 25 has bull**** gameplay and unrealistic gameplay that often Way too much like dumb fumbles at ironic times or critical moments that fail because the AI is working with the opposite guy online and it's frustrating I wish madden would be more realistic and better this game sucks but I'm still going to play it because I love football

It's the Logarithms........They used this on Madden 95 when you could just turn your back to the TV and hit x and you'' throw a TD every time./ So they kept this to make it more the offense more exciting just like real this.... you no ... things like can't touch a QB, CB and LB much tackle with their pinkies only etc./ But.. what EA fails to realize is that they need to leave well enough alone./ They had totally peaked at one point with Madden 2008-2009.... but their mistake trying to make it better by totally changing it instead of just fixing the small glitches that every games has......

Yup this game sucks. Every time I try to complete a pass I get sacked. Or I will throw the ball perfectly fine and the player will drop it or the player won't even be to where the ball is thrown... seriously? Every time the other team throws the ball the receiver is ALWAYS wide open. The first time I played it, two plays into my drive my QB got injured. I lost the game 60-13..Who scores 60 points in a game? I just played a little while ago. Three plays into it McCoy breaks his jaw... his jaw? are you kidding me? Every time I do a QB option.. I am ALWAYS tackled for the loss because apparently the defender knows exactly what play is coming and he just sits there waiting. What a waste of $60!

Ok madden has its flaws like a lot of them like the menus, defense sucks tthe running game is amazing even a RB like Brandon Jacobs can get 200 yards easy lol but honestly play it enough nd the little things won't matter. I know how to play D now to stop even lynch with my falcons. So I say its all on how you play. But bigger flaws the trucking is ridiculously awesome. My friend ran through every DB in the dime formation with desean Jackson. Also if you want to catch somebody just dive (which I don't agree with) the dive literally brings anybody down jus from tapping the shoe of the runner. I bought this game stricly for online play.. my favorite thing to do after a long days work.. the load screen is slow.. even worse the game play turnt arcade.. its WAY to easy to run and impossible to play defense now (real defense) all you gotta do is run outside no matter how bad ur team is they will dominate D line.. and its way to easy to return a kick.. and DBs still play coverage like hs corners... we want a simulation game that takes skill not this big play everytime arcade crap.. I average 2-300 yr rushing with 1 player a game. Shouldnt be that simple... atleast they fixed the onside kick

The game is terrible. The same unrealistic things that have haunted this game for years are still there. superhuman linebackers in the middle intercepting passes with "50 inch verticals...still there! Also that one defensive lineman that sacks your QB everytime you call a play action pass... he is still there! Madden may have improved the graphics but its just eye candy to a badly programmed AI and an overall waste of time!

Yeh, I bought this game a few weeks back and enjoyed playing through the franchise mode but online mode is terrible. the game constantly lags, runners just need to pitch to the outside edge and they'll gain 5+ yards every play. you can't stop the control of the clock because of this. when you're on the recieving end especially. interceptions are too easy as well. just hit O and hold T and game over. this game has eliminated the pass game all together online and its sad because thats what makes this game good. overall, this game is a huge disaster for EA and I don't see myself buying another copy unless it gets 4+ stars (which may never happen again).

I bought the game and it is unplayable. I'm all about franchise and building dynasties. I let thd game generate the draft classes. My 4th season draft class is identical to my 1st. My LT & RT are the same guy. Its crap. Between this, the freezing issues and just crappy overall gamrplay... I can't play the game. What a waste... $65 just to get pissed off.

Yes, absolutely. I got this for 2.49 at GameStop, thinking it would be fun to play around with for a while. Dead wrong.



All the other posters are correct: CPU controlled teams with QBs and WRs rated in the 70s overall can burn you all day. Your DBs with ratings in the 90s show no awareness of what s going on, and will not even try for the ball - they just run a few yards behind the WRs that they are supposed to be superior to, and let them catch easy 15-20 yard fades. They don t cover on cover 2 - they just wait 5 yards behind the WR and let them catch. Even worse, your D will be gassed after a couple series, making it even easier for the CPU to do their thing.



And on offense, your WRs rated in the 90s are retards - they don t adjust their routes, ever. They jump/fight for the ball about 1/200 times. They don t turn around to look for the ball. The standard is - they just run the route no matter where the ball is going. And the DBs rated in the lower 80s can always do a leaping 180 degree interception while in full sprint.



I m using the game disc as a beer coaster and conversation piece now - when friends come over, its another way of telling them not to buy Madden NFL games.
