I'm 16 and want black ops so bad but my parents won't let me buy it. I only play multiplayer on CoD4 (Modern Warfare) on my wii. Do you think that multiplayer on black ops is significantly more violent than previous installments of call of duty?
I've watched countless videos of BO gameplay on youtube and am not afraid of it one bit.
I could definitely see single player being more violent but I have never played single player so I wouldn't even start a campaign.

As far as cod4 and Black Ops goes Multiplayer online ( xbox 360, PS3, Wiin etc. ) The violence is exactly the same, body parts don't get blown off in multiplayer like WaW was. I'm not sure why they changed that, I kind of enjoyed that sense of realism, but I didn't make the game, I just play it.

Campaign mode is another story though, violence is seen very often, from slitting peoples wrist, your buddy gets beat to death with a pipe, and of course the body parts and such get shot off, and such. Your best bet is to convince your parents offline is bad, but the multiplayer is more appriopriate. Hope this helps.

The worst part is where you put broken glass in some guys mouth and start punching him.

Apart from that, it just has bad language.

Tell them this (Stolen from some review webpage):

"MATURE CONTENT FILTER: For those who don’t want to blast swear words through their TV, don’t want a ton of gore, and want a some-what friendlier “Teen” rated game… there is a content filter. When turned on, the filter reduces blood and eliminates (almost) all curse words. And then there is also the option to skip cutscenes that may have Mature content to them (such as the scene where a glass bottle is shoved into a man’s mouth followed by him getting beaten and cut open). So, it basically becomes a “T” rated game."

You aren't missing much with the filter turned on, and it's better than not being able to play.

(They might have already bought you the game for xmas, and are just trying to delay you until then)

I haven't played the wii version, but I've played the 360 version of both cod4 and black ops.

The only thing violent about cod4 is, SHOOTING A PERSON and KNIFING A PERSON...and grenading them. It's the same thing with black ops. It's all grenading, stabbing, and shooting.

Dude. I'm a sophomore and I'm a girl. I play the single player and multiplayer and zombies. It's no big deal. God.
