This is freakin retarded I have the same problem and I play video games maybe once every 3 months and i finally have some time by myself to sit down and play and this crap happens. I really hope the little bastard that caused this problem is found and shot!!!

I am having this problem when trying to play moto gp 13 if my son loads it on his account he gets the trophy registration message and if I load it on my account it works so I can't see it being a system error there must be another reason for this

This same thing has happened to me, it's crazy and annoying as hell, i was playing Heavy Rain just about 6pm, turned it off for dinner and watched tv for a bit i decided to play Heavy Rain again now and i've been searching online for almost an hour reading about how many people have the same problem, it's damned annoying GRRR!!!!

This issue recently happened to me just right now and I am pissed I can't play mw2. My ps3 is useless machine with those error. Sony will face lawsuits if they will not fix this issue.

Apparently some kid hacked into PSN and switched everyone's calenders to December 31, 1999. This has screwed up the servers or the clients so they won't work with each other. Check the date on your PS3 if you want a confirmation.

It is an internal clock issue with the older PS3's (also referred to as "fat" or "phat" PS3's) where evidently the coding for leap year was done incorrectly. When the PS3's internal clock started looking for the day after Feb. 28th, it couldn't understand and is crashing. Since we didn't have this issue last year, I am assuming that the issue only shows up on even years. I'm hearing that the problem will be solved sometime during the morning tomorrow (3/1/10), likely via a patch. Hope this helps.

Oh my lord! Quite literally the same thing happened to me! Got Heavy Rain Saturday, played through to "Sleepless Night", and the next day I was faced with this! I am not on the PSN either and never was; I deleted all the Heavy Rain save utility data hoping that the game would just re-install or something, but that message kept popping up. I never understood what the hell trophies are for; are they some way to brag to others about game accomplishments? Anyway, I was pissed because I thought there was something wrong with this brand new game, but as I looked into it, I found that it was more likely a bug with the console itself. I am just glad I'm not the only freaking out right now. It seems like the only solution right now is to send your PlayStation to Sony, which sucks because I've recently been beating a bunch of games (Prototype, Uncharted I and II, Assassin's Creed II, Dante's Inferno, etc.) and really don't want all my save data lost. Sorry I haven't any answers that are not already known, I just hope there will be one soon.

I don't think its PSN issue. I believe it is a bug, cause I haven't been on line since January.

don't worry its happening to a lot of people, its a problem with the server, its been like this for a while so hopefully they are sorting it out, i think there might be an update for ps3 when its sorted
