I'm looking for a new video game to play on my Windows Vista PC. I'm finding things like World of Warcraft too violent, but Sims too boring. Basically I want a game where I can make cities/characters and customize them (like Sims/Sim City) but have the option of battles/adventuring to take over other lands. I can't seem to find both in a video game. Any recommendations?

The old Heroes Quest games, and maybe Ages of Empire II.

Vick grew to become right into a god, averaged 4 hundred dashing yards consistent with game. 5. Halo 3, because of fact i'm at present kicking @ss in that game.

Age of Empires, I guess. It's by Microsoft game studios, i think. It's kind of old though. But basically you start out in a a nomadic age where you have to build a town center, then you advance to the colonial age, etc. You have to build up your town and population while still being able to have a strong enough militia to fight off enemies.

Definitely get Age of Empires. It is a long running series and has many games with different themes. (Mythology, Roman times, Egypt.) IT IS A VERY VERY GOOD GAME. Also it's cheap for about $15-$35 depending on what game.

I haven't been following it for a while, but there is a game in development similar to that. It's called Darkfall online, and it allows clans to build cities, and other clans to attack and either take over or destroy these cities.
