In runescape which is better...ranged or magic?

my magic level is 45 and my ranged level is 40. My total level is 69.

Ranged is good when it is level 40 or higher and Magic is good when it is level 59 or higher. Ranged is somewhat decent in terms of the damage most ranged attacks deal, but mage attacks are definitely better when you are at a high level because there are so many different spells you can use to beat your foe (i.e. Ice attacks from Ancient Magicks, Vengance from Lunar Magicks, the God Spells, the Surge Spells from Normal Magicks). Ranged attacks are faster with less damage and mage attacks are a little bit slower (not ALL mage attacks are slow) but deal more damage.

Depends what your wanting it for, personaly i say ranged, i have 99 ranged and magic. I don't use Magic much because it costs to much to be honest.





Ranged is alot more powerufl, and it's alot faster then magic, it's a boring skill to train though, but definetly worth training. I can hit 88's with a rune crossbow on runescape, and i can 2 kill someone with a dark bow. Definetly get ranged up :)

They are both perfectly balenced. whith mage maxing at 300 damage +freezing for 15 seconds with ice barrage. And range maxing at about 400 with out special attacks. (although it is possible to hit 500 and 500 with a dark bow special attack when wearing full void and using extreme ranging potions. But if you are non members then mage since most people will use rune armure which is way too overpowered considering that you can only get maple bows and addy arrows which will not very often hit through it.
