"Fable: The Lost Chapters"...How do you fish?

I can not get the hook to appear...Where do i get the hook, and where do i get the spade...and furthermore, where the heck do I find a barber? I looked all over the town and can not find a barber anywhere...

Finding the first fishing pole is a bit tough. Once you get one though you will find that everyone is selling them. There is a little lake on the outskirts of one of the early towns ( I forget which one) with a man who will give you a fishing pole for free if you complete a task for him. The spade you can pick up in the shops. There is a barber in most every big town but they close at night.

You can fish in any of the water except when on a high high bridge. Buy a fishing pole at the south bowerstone trader over by the gates. There is also a barder in South bowerstone up toward the weapon guy. Keep a look out for the barber pole outside the shop. Also there are traveling barbers so stop all traders and see what they got for sale.

1. Have a fishing pole



2. Be near a pod, ocean, body of water



3. Look to see if the "hook" icon appears where your Sigil usually is (the lil teleport icon)



4. If it's there, press down on the d pad (what usually activates your teleport) and you'll be in fishing mode



5. You'll stand there for a minute until you hook a fish.



6. When the fish isn't pulling, hammer away on the A button to reel it in. When the fish pulls you can risk tapping A a few times, but too many and he gets away. Do this until the fish is yours!

you have to possess a pole, and a signal will appear when you can fish. you will find a spade along the way, but you can aldo buy one at a store or from a trader, and there aren't barbers in every town.
