Minecraft: I can't install mods?

Question

Can someone please help me everytime I try to install a mod on minecraft it gives me a error message and crashes on start up. Modloader installs fine and the game can still run but if I then install for example The Clay Soldiers Mod it crashes when I start the game. I use to have that mod on my pc but now I have a new laptop with 6Gb ram and 64 bit operating system. And yes I do delete Meta-Inf everytime I try to install it. Can someone please help me as I love mods.

Well, I can't help you with why it's crashing, but what I can tell you is I know a site that has installers for mods. All you have to do is download the installer, click install, and wait for it to install. The site is skydaz.com. Clay Soldiers isn't updated for 1.3 yet, so if you still wanted it for 1.2.5 you would need something called MCnostalgia to downgrade minecraft.

^^^^^^^^^^ there are other methods but i cant help you with that since i never needed to use them and dont know how

Get MCPatcher and make sure the mod doesn't need modloader.
