Should adults be playing video games or online games? I play an online game called Eternal Wars and 60% of the active players (there are quite a few) play. Not only that, most of them have kids or a wife/husband. And they play ALL the time! Arent video games and online games supposed to be for kids? Myspace is one thing, but playing games is another... Anyone have anything to say? (Please say if you are an adult or kid, and if you play online/video games a lot)

I'm an adult and I believe it's okay to play games as long as this doesn't conflicts with the time you should spend with your family.

Video Games are a form of entertainment, if they dont seem at least interesting to an adult why would they buy them for kids

Alot of games want younger adults in there games as they have and spend money on there games where a teen would not.

game companies make games to make money if they can make the game target adults in there 20's they will

Thats what game companies are targeting or even calling their core gamers, players who play just in their spare time or on the week end

Ideally from a profit stand point its the players a game wants

I believe they have the freedom to play or not. I'm going to play games when I'm older. I'm a young adult already. My girlfriend plays games and my children will too. Prohibiting adults from playing games is like prohibiting them from watching TV shows. So it would be like saying only kids can watch TV. Of course, that's not true. Try to look at it through another perspective. You would be also saying that you can't videogames when you're older. What do you think the Wii is trying to target? People of all generations.

um yeah. i am married, a college grad, my wife and i are independent from our parents, and i am addicted to video gaming. i believe that the avarage gamer is between 25 and 32. this age group is mostly that of people who grew up with the initial popularity of the videogame. i have been gaming for about 15 years now and love it. i dont let it consume my life but instead of playing board games with adult friends i play online games via myxbox live internet. game on!

They should be able to play if they want to. When people get older it doesn't mean they can't play games. Games are for everybody nowdays. But you know playing all the time is not good for anybody adult or not.

I am an adult and what i have to say is, It dosent mateer what age you are it's what your interest is, if an adult wants to play video games it's there choice and shouldn't be labled as a kid, video games are for everyones enjoyment (especially mine lol)

As long as they make time for real life, I don't see much of a problem. People, adults or kids, who do nothing but play I'd worry about.

In fact, I'm writing this in the time it takes for my toon to fly between cities in World of Warcraft. :)
