How do i access or make a wow private server?

i've asked people before but nobody gives a good answer how to. i want to know what i need to make/ access a private server, and how to get on/ start it up and how to play

This is how to access private servers. I am not certain how to make them.



1) go to "My Computer" Desktop Icon



2) go to C: (otherwise known as Local Disc..it should look like (C:) Local Disk)



3) go to the folder entitled "Program Files"



4) search for the folder entitled "World of Warcraft" (just scroll down a bunch if it is sorted alphabetically)



5) go to the icon in the folder entitled "realmlist.wtf"



6) if this is your first time opening this file, it may ask you what program you wish to use to open it. Select "NotePad" from the list of files.



7) the contents of the file will look something like this:



set realmlist us.logon.worldofwarcraft.com

set patchlist us.version.worldofwarcraft.com



delete this. (i recommend creating a save file with that content in it so you dont forget it when you want to play real WoW.)



8) enter whatever-site-you-are-wanting-to-play-on's info it gives you after you create an account with that private server.



example: say you are playing on Hacking Source Wow(or HSwow; this is my personal favorite private server), once you have created an account on hacking source wow go to realmlist and put in:



set realmlist hswow.servgame.com



9) open up WoW and enter your account and password you created on the private server webpage.

HINT: Do NOT use your real account/password for real wow, people do see it. You probably won't wanna get hacked.



10) create character and you're off!

go to the realmlist and add another space ontop of all the lines. To do that, hit enter behind the first line. After that, on the new line, put this line, exacly, word to word, spaces and caps:

Set realmlist logon.dominionwow.net. after, put a # behind the other 2 lines.

but before you can start going to a privet server, you have to go to dominionwow.net, make a privet server account, wait about 5-10 min, then you can go on, each realm is different, so there not all going to be the same as the real game. same type of gameplay, but its a bit different in every realm.

to go back to the normal game, undo everything you just did.
