Help on NFS Carbon Demo?

I don't get it, when I run NFS Carbon Demo it stops working after the
EA logo... It exits out and it says "nfsc_demo.exe has stopped working."
Can anybody help me out?
I'm using Windows Vista.

Yes, Carbon had a problem with Vista if I remember rightly. The original unpatched version (which I'm guessing the demo would be) wouldn't start. Patch 1.3 did but crashed due to the cutscenes. So they released Patch 1.4 for Vista which removed all the cutscenes. None of these would work on the demo though I don't think.



It's a Vista problem, I don't think there's much can be done if Compatibility mode doesn't help you.

Try using Windows XP, or change it to "act" like windows xp. To do this, right-click the icon, select Properties. Under the Compatibility tab, select "Run this program in compatibility mode for Windows XP" (if Windows XP doesn't work, select different versions of Windows until it does).
