Everyone talks about how it's the scariest place and I haven't played that game in a while and have never been inside. But honestly I suck at scary crap like stuff jumping out. I'm thinking of wearing my ghoul mask. Also for example my heart was goin super fast in vault 87 with the mutants and I have to have a partner at all times now and I never play when it's dark in the game I fast forward

You should, especially if you'd like to get the Melee Weapons Bobblehead. It's a pretty cool area. I liked the references to the classic horror author H.P. Lovecraft.

The creepiest aspect of that place was the audio journals lying around the building and how the building gets darker and darker the further in you go - you'll want to use your Pipboy light to see eventually. The ghouls are not as unsettling as the whispering you'll hear and the subtle spookiness. It's not as in your face as Vault 87. Bring Fawkes with you. He'll protect you.

I don't particularly remember the Dunwich building being very scary. Then again, not much is scary when you've got Fawkes at your side, power armour on your back and Laser Rifle in your hands.

(oh god, that sounded nerdy. >_< )

But the point is still made, you won't have any trouble killing the ghouls inside there, but there are definitely times when it'll make you jump. I hate to be sneaking along in the dark only to hear that feral ghoul growl from somewhere in the darkness... Dunwich building will give you a lot of that was you try to navigate the maze-like interior with lots of cramped corridors, darkened hiding spots and general lack of lighting. I'd say it's worth playing through just so you know how it's not actually that scary, but it'd be understandable if you chose to avoid it.

I didn't find it scary at all. But then again, it's really hard to scare me with a video game. I did find Vault 87 A lot scarier than I did the Dunwich building. But then it could be because my brother hyped it up a little as being really scary. That's probably the worst you could do.
