why is it that i cant play the downloaded map of dotA-allstars??

i already downloaded the maps and place it in the "map" folder, but why is it that when i chose my desired map, it will come back again to the page that has a box that is used to put your name.............. I CANT PLAY THAT MAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try downloading the latest game patch from the blizzard website. Maybe that would help.

to be able to play the latest map of dota, you must also have the latest patch of warcraft.. upon opening warcraft, you'll see a number at the bottom right corner of your screen.. that's your version.. the default is 1.07 if you just installed warcraft.. what you need to do is update it..

u must install patch 1.20 i think u have patch 1.07 but u should install patch 1.20 then start game.
