i cant seem to log on. everytime i try and play it would say "unable to connect". then it would say " This may be due to a firewall restriction, an internet outage, or Wizard101 maintenance". my norton security doesnt work (im not sure) and my internet is working fine also their isnt a mantainence going because my friend was playing and he always plays but i cant. i uninstalled 4 times and reinstalled and istill cant play.....the it says "click here for test and if it says test ok the proceed to step 2. i clicked on it and it said test ok but then when i clicked on the second test its would take me to another page then it would say "If you successfully reached the Wizard101 "Test OK" page in your normal web browser, but have arrived at this page during the second part of the test, there is probably firewall or internet security software on your computer that is blocking Wizard101.

1) Please verify that your firewall allows both WizardLauncher.exe and WizardGraphicalClient.exe to access the internet. If your software asks for specific port numbers, please allow TCP and UDP ports 12000 through 12999.

WizardLauncher.exe is located under the Wizard101 installation directory:
C:\Program Files\KingsIsle Entertainment\Wizard101\PatchClient\BankA\
There may be another WizardLauncher.exe to allow at \PatchClient\BankB\

WizardGraphicalClient.exe is located under the Wizard101 installation directory:
C:\Program Files\KingsIsle Entertainment\Wizard101\Bin

2) If allowing these files and ports does not work, you can also try temporarily disabling your firewall to see if this allows you access to Wizard101"

PLZ HELP I WANT TO PLAY IM SO BORED!!!!!!

Unable to Connect to Server Error with Norton 360 Firewall:

This error likely occurs due to a block of the Wizard101 game file(s).

Norton 360 users can do the following:

First open up your Norton 360 program.

Click "Close" to close out of the window. This will save your settings.

Open up Wizard101 to try to load up again. If you are having trouble, please feel free to contact Support from the "Contact Us" tab.

Unable to Connect to Server Error with Norton Internet Security Firewall:

Click on the Norton Internet Security Tab

From there click on Settings and then "Norton Internet Security Options".

Unable to Connect to Server Error with McAfee Firewall:

This error likely occurs due to a block of the Wizard101 game file(s).

McAfee users can do the following:

Right click on the McAfee icon in the lower right corner of your desktop and select "Change Settings".

Click on Internet & Network

Within the Firewall protection section, click on "Advanced..."

Choose "Program Permissions"

Scroll through the Program Name list to locate the file WizardGraphicalClient.exe and click on it to highlight

Within the Action section, click "Allow Access" to enable full access of the Wizard file.

* Check the full list and ensure access is granted for all the Wizard files

Click "OK" and close out the window. Restart the Wizard101 game. If these steps don't resolve the issue, please contact Customer Support via the "Contact Us" tab!

General Information:

It may be that one firewall could be set up to block certain IP ranges or is blocking the program Wizard101. If you can temporarily disable that firewall, the patches should be able to load.

I recommend that you reset it back to defaults. Each Firewall manufacture achieves this a little different so you may need to check with your software's support site to find the correct instructions.

If these solutions still do not work you will need to send a support ticket to us (via the "Contact Us" tab) with a copy of your patch client logs.

To get this file just go to the directory where you installed the game, there should be a Patch Client folder. Inside should be BankA and BankB. Each of these folders should contain the file WizardLauncher.log.txt Just use the Attach File function of whatever email client you use to attach both of those to your ticket to Wizard101 Support.

Hmm, well it all depends on if you've still got system 32 still on while you are checking if wizard is going. You can try removing that from the task manager, Crtl+alt+del, and then under processes. It can really slow you down some times and evenstop Wiz every now and then if it's running when it shouldnt be.
