Unable to Connect to Server Error with Norton 360 Firewall:
This error likely occurs due to a block of the Wizard101 game file(s).
Norton 360 users can do the following:
First open up your Norton 360 program.
Click on Manage Firewall under "PC Security"
Within the Firewall Protection Settings go to the "Program Rules" tab.
Scroll through the Program Name list to locate the file WizardGraphicalClient.exe. From the drop down on the left change the setting to "Allow".
Check the full list to ensure that access is allowed for all Wizard files.
Click "Close" to close out of the window. This will save your settings.
Open up Wizard101 to try to load up again. If you are having trouble, please feel free to contact Support from the "Contact Us" tab.

Norton Internet Security users can do the following:
First open up your Norton Internet Security program.
Click on the Norton Internet Security Tab
From there click on Settings and then "Norton Internet Security Options".
Click on Personal Firewall and then from that drop down select Program Control.
Scroll through the Program Name list to locate the file WizardGraphicalClient.exe. From the drop down on the left change the setting to "Allow".
Check the full list to ensure that access is allowed for all Wizard files.
Click "Apply" and then "OK" to close out of the window. This will save your settings.
Open up Wizard101 to try to load up again. If you are having trouble, please feel free to contact Support from the "Contact Us" tab.
Unable to Connect to Server Error with McAfee Firewall:
This error likely occurs due to a block of the Wizard101 game file(s).
McAfee users can do the following:
Right click on the McAfee icon in the lower right corner of your desktop and select "Change Settings".
Click on Internet & Network
Within the Firewall protection section, click on "Advanced..."
Choose "Program Permissions"
Scroll through the Program Name list to locate the file WizardGraphicalClient.exe and click on it to highlight
Within the Action section, click "Allow Access" to enable full access of the Wizard file.
* Check the full list and ensure access is granted for all the Wizard files
Click "OK" and close out the window. Restart the Wizard101 game. If these steps don't resolve the issue, please contact Customer Support via the "Contact Us" tab!
General Information:
It may be that one firewall could be set up to block certain IP ranges or is blocking the program Wizard101. If you can temporarily disable that firewall, the patches should be able to load.
I recommend that you reset it back to defaults. Each Firewall manufacture achieves this a little different so you may need to check with your software's support site to find the correct instructions.
If these solutions still do not work you will need to send a support ticket to us (via the "Contact Us" tab) with a copy of your patch client logs.
To get this file just go to the directory where you installed the game, there should be a Patch Client folder. Inside should be BankA and BankB. Each of these folders should contain the file WizardLauncher.log.txt Just use the Attach File function of whatever email client you use to attach both of those to your ticket to Wizard101 Support.
