I currently own a psp fat with custom firmware on it. I've been considering about buying Little Big Planet (psp version) but recently my brother bought Persona 3 Portable and it required an update that got rid of custom firmware and corrupted all of his emulators. He has the Darth Vader slim psp. I'm just wondering if new games with that update could brick my Psp 1000. (I wouldn't care to much if I lost custom firmware.) Thanks in advance.

The games MAY not work (depending on your CFW) but they will definitely not brick your PSP.

If the games require you to make an update, then you'll simply lose your custom firmware but they will work. I'd suggest that you download the game (since you already have made the effort to get the CFW) and find another firmware, like Prometheus, which allows you to play newer 6.20 games.

P.S.To brick a PSP you need to [seriously] mess with the flash memory without knowing what you're doing.

I would just update the custom firmware. The latest is 5.50 GEN-D3. I have it on my PSP and it works great. here's a link: http://pspslimhacks.com/psp-firmware/custom-gen-firmware/
