Get the Ps3. I had the exact same problems and I gave the Xbox to my brother and bought a Ps3. Nothing has happened yet and ive had it for about 2 years now.

Ps3 has better graphics and HDMI right out of the box.

Games are on bluray disc so they wont scratch as bad and can hold more memory.

Controllers are more comfortable.

and also if the ps3 is such a piece of crap then why did Microsoft change the color to the shiny black the ps3 had??? And also add touch buttons????

Same thing happend to me dude, in two years two of my xbox's broke and i got pissed. I bought a ps3 and have had no problems. It's ultimately up to you, but it would be a good idea considering how many problems the xbox has.

i own both systems and i have had very few problems with either of them.as some one asked,is it on a flat sturdy surface not on a carpet.do you clean it,is there plenty of air flow around it,if your using pre owned games do you clean them before you use them.all of this can contribute to having all sorts of problems with any system.it is recommended that you run a cleaning disc through your system every 100 hours of gaming to clean the lens.you should always clean any used games that you buy before putting them in your system because you don't know what is on them.you should make sure the vent holes are clean,if you need to vacuum them out twice a month or more this will help to keep it clean and running well.hope this helps.good luck.

i highly recommend to hold on both PS3 and Xbox 360. i own both and i love it.

Because sometimes certain games are available only to specific consoles. Gears of War 3 (Xbox) and Killzone 3 (PS3)

umm...what? Tbh this seems more like a rant than a question.

Are you taking good care of your xbox? Because all these things your saying are likely the result of 1-2 things

1)Are you playing newer-ish games? Choosing new servers has nothing to do with live, its the game themselves and the amount of players online

2)How are you taking care of your xbox? Is it on a solid rock/laminate/wood surface? If its on something fuzzy no-shuz its gonna screw up

and finally, its up to you. Both of them should work equally well, the "you get what you pay for" is fairly true for xbox live/PSN, but in the end, its whichever one you want. Do you like movies/music more? Which games do you preffer?

lol i had a ps3 and sold it withing 3 weeks of having it i can tell you now they are utter shite!! but in the end it comes down to opinions and in my opinion xbox are a lot better but for all xbox's problems it comes down for what you do with it for instance rrod is caused by people either leaving it on or playing for to long so it over heats but the new xbox slim has a much bigger memory and has alot more vens and a bigger fan ive left mine on all day and it is not eaven hot and maybe your freezing problems are down to dust inside your console im not intireley sure but maybe thats what is down to.

If you're doing it solely for gaming then keep your xbox360, get a ethernet cable. The xbox isn't that bad the live services aren't even that overpriced it's just because it's yearly sum. You should ask why you want a PS3? Exclusive? Free online gaming? I feel both consoles are just as good as each other, Obviously I feel Xbox360 has better online gameplay, and the PS3 graphics are slightly better, also with their blu-ray disks they can hold a lot of data but that's rarely used. So in short keep what you got if it's for gaming but ditch the wireless router it was a waste of money imo I sold mine and just use a 20M wire round the house :). If you're going for better graphics (which is hardly noticeable and free online gaming which is really limited imo go for PS3)

Short Answer: If it's pissing you off, get rid of it.

Seems like you've already suffered enough from it, but who's to say you won't have similar issues with the ps3? Let me speak from experience. I too, have had alot of trouble with my 360 when I still used it. Red ringed twice on me (First time it red ringed, it red ringed right after I plugged it in and turned it on for the first time ever! Brand new! Thanks, Microsoft.) After the second time, I boxed that miserable piece of **** and threw it in my closet, where it has been sitting for like 3 years gathering dust. (Never getting it fixed either.)

Ever since then I've done most of my gaming on my PC, I bought a ps3 awhile back and I've had nowhere near the same amount of trouble with it. But trouble still exists. The most common issue I have is freezing, which doesn't happen all that often really.

If you're xbox is giving you grief, and you're fed up with paying for live, then you might want to try a ps3 out. But remember, some problems may still persist.

I've never had any of those problems. Maybe you're setting it up wrong. And as I always say, you'd be silly to toss a system you already have games for.
