I really need help, it's been driving me nuts the last week trying to figure out if I should buy a Ps3 160gb with drakes uncharted for $330, or the Xbox Elite 120gb Holiday Bundle with Lego Batman and Pure for $300, now I don't really care about price or any of that (besides future pricing maybe, or in the long run) so that doesn't really matter, but there are exclusives i like for each system that i want and I don't know what to get, I wanna be able to play online, I heard that psn is not to great because it is not as advanced as Xbox but it's free, unlike Xbox Live. Another thing that bugs me about the Xbox is that to have a WiFi adapter if you want to reduce clutter (which would be nice), but that's a whopping $100, which the ps3 already has, but the Xbox has A wider range of Games, and Has A LOT more exclusives like Fallout and Halo, Where as the ps3 has less but stuff like Metal Gear Solid, and Heavenly Sword, another thing is the processor comparison makes it look like the ps3 is pretty fast compared to the Xbox but that's not to much to really worry or care about, I will also be using this system to store music and videos, and especially demos on there, that's why I'm looking to buy a huge hard drive, I love having A LOT of Storage space because I manage to find a way to fill them up quick, lol, anyways, please somebody help me and give some feedback on what you think I should do, and from what your experience was, what maybe I should do, thanks

You should take the one that gives you the most opportunity. You can see the pro's and cons of the PS3 and the Xbox 360. Personally, I would choose the PS3. No one wants to buy a router and have to pay money every month, and in times like these, where money is almost tight, I think you should buy the PS3, because online use is free. :P

First of all Fallout 3 is NOT a 360 exclusive...who told you that? The only exclusive Microsoft has on Fallout 3 is DLCs, but you can get all of them if you buy the Game of the Year Edition for PS3.

If you get an elite get the Modern Warfare 2 edition (for an extra $100 you get MW2, a better looking system, and an extra controller...thus saving $15 + whatever you'd be saving in tax if you get the other system and buy these 2 items separate).

Yes, Live is ten times better then PSN and it honestly is worth the price...this is coming from someone that used to say screw paying for Live I'm using the free online on my PS3. Now I get any games I'll play online for 360.

Halo 3 (both normal and ODST) isn't that great, if that's one of your reasons for getting a 360...mark that off the pro list. There are better games like the Fable & Gears series.

Yes the cell processor is better, but PS3 honestly isn't putting out better graphics (yet)...most of their titles aren't even in 1080p while 90% of 360 games are.

As far as stored content...the PS3 is easier to use. Plus I'm pretty sure 360 still doesn't play some formats that PS3 does...gave up on putting media on my 360 yrs ago so I can't tell you exactly what formats work until I try...but I can say that an AVI didn't work not too long ago due to a lack of an update which after I downloaded said update the AVI still didn't work but it worked fine on a PS3 and my comp.

Netflix on 360!!!

Don't know if this will help but honestly it all depends on which features you want to work excellently and which ones you really don't care about.

Xbox 360:

Pros:

Better games

Better online experience

Lots of DLC and demos/arcade games

Cons:

Xbox Live fee

Playstation 3

Pros:

Blu-Ray Player. (Personally, I don't buy a console because it has a blu-ray player, or dvd player. Who even has blu-ray except ps3 owners these days? well overrated.)

Free online (but you never hear people raving about it, like they rave about xblive, perhaps because you're paying for a *better* service?)

Cons:

Bad/not-so-good games

AFAIK, not so much DLC, I guess I am a bit bias in the fact that I've never looked into the PS3 net/online stuff, but then again I've never had a reason to because I never hear people going on about it online, like I do with xblive.

In my opinion, Xbox 360 is a handsdown winner, it has all the great games, it has loads and loads of downloadable content, it has a massive harddrive, the online experience is *top quality*. I've never wanted more from the online service that what it provides currently. I don't need a blu-ray player, I have a computer and a dvd player already. Consoles *are* about the games, the games are better on the 360, get it now. You won't regret it.

I would probably go with the ps3. It has a death rate of a system of .2% while the xbox has a 33%.

So i would go with the ps3 since it will last a lot longer. And besides the ps3 can do a whole lot more than the xbox does. PS3 is the best. No doubt about that.

Take it from me, a 15 year previous teen. The PS3 is amazingly costly and lacks reliable video games. notwithstanding it does have a blu-ray dvd participant while you're enormous on technologies and feeling a sprint egocentric. it is completely a failed gadget. The wii is countless relaxing via fact it makes use of action sensor technologies. it particularly is large yet perplexing to come across for despite reason (I propose perplexing, except you're keen to dish out megabucks) and at your son's age, he might devoid of postpone start to come across many of the video games infantile. it is definetly an off-the-cuff, relatives gadget. The Xbox 360 is the console I personnally very own. it particularly is truthfully rather well worth the funds. there are various large video games, yet notice: almost all the video games are MATURE 17+ video games. i do no longer understand in case you enable your infants play those video games. in my view, they don't seem to be that undesirable in any respect. notwithstanding that's recommended to apply some warning while buying video games (tell your son i'm sorry). it is obviously the final gadget and has the main effective merchandising element: Xbox stay. it is once you connect the internet to the Xbox and your son would be waiting to play with people international, inclusive of his acquaintances, see you later as they have Xbox stay. it is extra of a hardcore gamer gadget. purchase the Xbox 360; your son will love you.
