How do I tell if a Gameboy Advance Game I bought is a copy/pirate?

well... its hard to explain, but baiscly look on the chip if theres nintendo copyright , w ./ game name etc your fine.
unelss u have the hardware to get into the bios with IDA www.datarescue.com , ur screwed.
contact codeseeker298@hotmail.com for help w /that , you can take apart ROM images of games too. but i dont suggets doing that unless its ur ROM game...

There aren't any codes to check this. Here in Mexico, piracy in game cartdriges is very common (and we have learnt to live with this, haha)
a) Cardboard box has NOT a gloss finish
b) On the game case label there is low-relief number printed on it
c) Game case label NEVER matches cardboard box art
d) Documentation should be COMPLETE (Check for Game instruction booklet, Health warnings, Nintendo Power promo, etc)
In most cases your game will'be geniune if it meets that criteria

OK.. have a look at the game on the net and if the cover on the game disk . (the disk itself) . and yes the game will have encrypted codes on the start-up menu so you will need a mod chip if you wan to play games that have bean copied

If you buy it in a store, and it has its shrink wrap, and all that hard to open stuff, I think you're fairly well assured that it's authentic.
If there were a code, I think pirates could copy that, too.
