I was having a really hard time trying to pick which race to be, so who would you pick? Nord or Dark Elf? I wanted to pick a Nord because the whole game rotates around the life and culture of Nords, but i chose Dark Elf because I've already been a Nord and i wanted to try something different. I wasn't sure at first because like i said, the whole game is focused on Nord beliefs. For example, a dark elf dragonborn, going to Nord "heaven" for the last main mission (Sovengarde), etc. im also going to join the stormcloaks as a dark elf because even though theyre racist towards elves, i hate the thalmour, i want skyrim to feel free, and i found a way to make a dark elf joining the stormcloaks fit, with the red mountain errupting and argonians invading morrowind and destroying the province, my dark elf doesnt want that to happen to skyrim so he joined the rebels because he thought of morrowind. :]

Being a Dark Elf and a Stormcloak is kind of funny. Play the Dark Elf. Mix it up!

I picked a Nord, and I like her better than the Khajiit that I used for my first playthrough. I picked the Stormcloaks too. I started another playthrough as a Dark Elf, but got bored of it and I haven't been on Skyrim since.

I also chose the Nord because I felt she fitted better with the culture, and although I'm sure it's prettymuch the same with every character, I think I would choose Nord again if I did another playthrough. And besides, you find more money in chests and stuff haha.

Although the Stormcloaks fight for freedom, most of the supporters are racist and just want a Nord-Skyrim. Dark Elf's are more detached and mysterious, you can still hate the thalmor but fight for the Dark Elves to be able to live in Skyrim without Stormcloaks attacking them.

Well, dark elf would be better if you are going for magic, and a nord is better as a warrior. I'm sure there's a lot of better reasons to pick either of them based on many different things, but that's what I can tell you.
