o.O No. I mean, well, yes. You do get the first month free and all and the graphics WILL surprise you, but you see like really addicted 30 year olds on there and it just gets creepy. I mean, they spend 8 hours a day online and a lot more and just are addicted to everything. And seriously...$15 a month is just plain stupidity. People actually spend more than $200 a year on that game, and maybe even thousands with different accounts.

My advice: Just forget computer games. You'll get soo addicted it would just be depressing. I say you should get video games because there is NO lag (lagging of screen), and there aren't a bunch of other users coaxing you to stay a bit longer. If you really gotta play some online game, try RuneScape. At least it's cheaper and you can play as long as you want without paying.

People here are not really objective? eh?

Is World of Warcraft a good game? Well as you said 10 million people play it, and its quite the amazing world they have created. Tough if the game is good or not depends on your game style.

I am a hardcore instant action fan. I can't rely on a 10% block rate or fireballs that curve after me even tough i change my angle from the cast be 180 degrees. And my last fantasy/RPG before WoW was Oblivion, the almighty of instant medieval magic game play.

BUT, on the other hand. The game has an amazing growth possibilities for leveling a character. The class build is strict and precise, yet races are mostly for looks, and the game is greater at creating a false social atmosphere! You know that behind every char there is another human being, but who knows? Might be your grandma, or that weird guy from your biology class that tried to give mouth to mouth the the frogs.

But there is no answer to this question. A game is what you make it to be. To take an example, look at the game i worship: Oblivion. Its in my humble opinion the best game i have ever played, yet people who played Morrowind first say that Oblivion is the biggest mistake Bethesda ever made. So take a 10 days free trail and try it out. But also remember that the game don't start until level 50-60.

Small tip at the end, get a "RAF" Recruit A Friend. You'll get a way faster leveling experience and you will have a person to turn to when you need help. And also: No more then 8 hours of WoW pr day, not even in weekends! That is and order! And if your grades drop or you forget the smell of "outside" then its time to stop.

A game is like a book, well not exactly. But you cant judge a book by its cover and you cant judge a game by other peoples opinions! Read the book.. i mean, try the game and make up your own mind. You are the best person to judge if you will like it!

(sorry for the length, its late and im bored cause im not playing WoW...)

Hello. :)

I have been playing WoW for almost 2 months so yeah I am still a newbie. What made me decide to try it was because I use to play everquest when i was like 13 and I really loved it. I had been missing playing a game like that for the past years.

My acer laptop games had world of warcraft 15 day trial and I decided why not?

Well so far I can honestly say that I am not addicted. Not having any other games to compare it to cause I only play that on my computer and well I do live on my xbox 360 (mw2 cod l4d2) I still can say that I do enjoy the game alot. What I have done is just buy the prepaid gaming card. I have joined a guild and have made some great friends I think i lounge around our website more than I do that actual game but long story short is that I am having fun!

Just try the trial and find out for yourself. I am happy i read your question I didn't realize that their were other games similar and cheaper!

Happy gaming

The first month is free, yes. But after that I'd say its rather expensive for just a game. Though it is pretty entertaining (I'm talking from everyone else's perspective). I started, and I got bored in a week or so, I didn't find it as good as most people said it was. Personally I enjoy RuneScape better, because it allows you to have many DIFFERENT skills, instead of just picking like two different professions and thats it. And be prepared to be playing with many people around the age of 20 to even up to 40 or higher. The players are very addicted and you'll probably laugh at them when you start. But be cautious, because you may turn into one, one of my friends did and it's pretty depressing when you think about it.

Have fun though and choose whatever game you like best! If WoW doesn't work for you, I'd recommend trying out RuneScape (its membership is only $6/month, and you can have a free account forever, you just don't get all the benefits).

Depends on the person really. If you have the time and patients to actually lvl a character to max lvl the end game is amazing. But again its really a matter of opinion. Try it for 30 days if you don't like it, don't play it...me I rather enjoy the game

Sadly, if I didn't have a girlfriend I'd likely be too obsessed with this game to answer your question. It's really great if you have the time and commitment. Don't think it's going to be an easy ride though, it's gruelingly long all the way through.
