How do I join the Halo Reach Beta?

There are two ways to join the beta. The first is to buy a copy of Halo 3:ODST. All copies of Halo 3:ODST come with an invite to the Halo Reach Beta. You can get a copy of Halo 3:ODST with a Halo Reach Beta invite for just $29.99 here.

The second way to join is that Bungie recently rewarded loyal Halo 2 players with Halo Reach Beta invites. If you have not already been contacted about this by Bungie, then you missed the cut and the only way to get in is by purchasing ODST.

How will I access the beta from ODST? Which disc do I need?

On May 3rd the Halo Reach Beta will become accessible through the extras menu of the Halo 3:ODST campaign disk.

When does the Halo Reach Beta start, and how long will it last?

The beta begins on May 3rd. Bungie says it will last as long as it needs to last for them to collect the data they need, though most people are predicting it will last roughly 2 weeks and then be shut off.

Can I access the Halo Reach Beta with a used copy of Halo 3:ODST?

Yes, a used copy will work fine.

Can I access the Halo Reach Beta with a rented copy of Halo 3:ODST

Yes, a rented copy will work fine. In fact, if you are not already a gamefly member you can sign up for a free 10-day Gamefly trial and rent ODST for free, allowing you access to the Halo Reach Beta at no cost.

Where is the cheapest place to get Halo 3: ODST?

Amazon has it for $29.99, which will get you your copy of Halo 3:ODST and an invite to the Halo Reach Beta. You can get it here.

Does Halo 3:ODST still come with the Halo Reach Beta or am I too late?

All copies of Halo 3:ODST come with the Halo Reach Beta, even now. You are not too late.

Will the Halo Reach Beta be single player or multiplayer?

The Halo Reach Beta is multiplayer *only*. There will be no campaign, and no firefight in the beta.

How many maps does the beta include?

The Halo Reach Beta will include four maps. The maps are Swordbase, Powerstation (intended for party game types), Overlook (which features the Generator Defense gametype), and Boneyard (meant for the Invasion gametype).

Will the Halo Reach Beta just be one gametype?

No, the beta will include many gametypes. Headhunter,Stockpile,Generator Defense,Invasion.

Hope this will help you, enjoy your game ^^

Basically its a demo of the new game Halo Reach.

Reach comes out in September, the purpose of the beta is they want public feedback to see what the public would like them to change about the game (say a gun is way too strong, the public would say that gun needs to be a little more powerd down, or yada yada).

Its a download that you can only get if you have the game Halo3 ODST. Xbox is giving some away to random people who they say have been "Loyal Xbox Gamers". Those who get chosen by Xbox dont need the ODST game.

It is an early test of the multiplayer portions of the game before it goes into final development later this year. This beta is open to a portion of the public to allow more open testing for glitches and exploits to hopefully catch and prevent many of them from plaguing the final game. It will likely be a download, but only reachable through Halo ODST, unless you get one of the codes from Bungie for being a long time member of Halo games.

a beta is a way for people to experience he game in a unfinished version of it though.. it allows companies to fix any glitches that might arise when the game is actually released to better enhance the final product. it will be a mulptiplayer game with 3 maps and several different modes of play and will be available for 2 weeks i think. As long as you have the odst game you just need to put in the mulptiplayer disk and it should prompt you to download the game and as long as you have the odst disk itself it should be able to run. hope that helps explain it

It's a playable demo for Halo Reach that comes out before the actual game comes out in a few months.

You need to have a beta code, or the ODST disc to play the beta.

You basically get to try out the game before the game comes out. It's fun. :)

the creators send out a beta so that people get to play it, and find bugs. glitches, special spots ETC.
