How do I install hair and makeup and clothes on the sims 2? I have no problem with Lots but hair and clothes and makeup never show up in the game. Someone help!

You need a unzipper file thing i use 7zip myself! I would suggest downloading from http://www.xmsims.com for Hair! You need a mesh for the downloads to appear in your game! On XM sims a picture appears of the hair! This picture is the Mesh! Click on it and save it to EA Games/The Sims 2/ Downloads! Once done it will appear in this folder right click on it and find 7zip in the list click on it and then extract! Thats it! Then you want colours right! So up above the pic is a list of colours! Click on each to download the colours in the exact same way as above!! Now For clothes you will need meshes too! However if you use a site like www.modthesims.com or www.thesimsresource.com (they are pretty much the same) many of the files have the meshes included just read the information about the file before you download if you need a mesh they usually provide a link to the mesh download! MESHES ARE THE MODELS THE SHAPE FORM AND COLOR SO I THINK IT WOULD BE A MESH PROBLEM. Save the files to 'EA Games-The Sims 2- Downloads'

Then you need a fle unzipper. I suggest winzip.

Right click on the downloaded file and unzip.

If its a sim2 pack file (it will have a little symbol that looks like a box and an arrow) unzip it then double click and a sims window will open up asking if you want it to install. Click install.

You can make subfolders inside the Downloads folder, but sometimes that makes stuff not show up.
