Sims 2 Seasons does not work?

Question

I got Seasons installed with a desktop shortcut and everything, but it doesn't work. I get the title card to show up (for upwards to three or so minutes), then it either disappears and nothing happens or it disappears and a 'send error report' window pops up. I've done a variety of things:
--Disk Cleanup
--Disk Defrag
--Cleaned out the USER\Local Settings\Temp folder
--Ended all user-generated processes
--Uninstalled + Reinstalled Seasons program
--Restarted the computer numerous times
--Closed off the internet connection and unloaded my security program, my anti-spyware program and my registry boosting software

Please help me-- I've been at this for HOURS!!!

i think that this game has a new application thing. If you click on the desktop shortcut thing a little window should open with some info on it, and a button says lauch or play or summit like that. thats all i can think of sorry.

you are using the wrong exe to start the game, go to the game dir and look in the tsbin folder, try clicking another exe, maybe the launcher? and if you have applied a crack, was it the right one?

1. Make sure your computer can run the game if you haven't already

2. Buy the game if you haven't already

3. Update your drivers
