Hey Guys,
Seeing that Janurary the 1st has passed the law that allows games to be classified and sold as R 18 in Australia officially starts. I do however have a question regarding this. I am under 18 (I am 15) and this means that I cannot just walk into a shop such as EB Games and just buy a copy like that. With MA15+ rating you could still buy the game if you were a minor if you had a parent/guardian with you to provide consent. Is this still possible with the R 18 rating or will I have to find other means to aquire games that I want that are rated R 18? Thank you :)

As long as your parent is with you and provides consent it should be fine. The law should have fine print that stats how sales are handled and if a parent has to be there to buy it. Your best best is to call the game store and ask what their R-18 requirements are.

I could have sworn I answered this already... ANYWAY! You should be able to buy whatever you want as long as someone with you is 18 or older. You will have to give the other person the money to give the cashier as they aren't legally allowed to take payment from a party that is not able to buy the item themselves.

If you under 18 you still have to have a parent. With you
