How can I make Dead Island less laggy?(Read details)?

Here are my specs please help in determining the problem:
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHzYou Have
CPU speed 3.3 GHz
Ram 3.1 GB
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Edition (build 7600), 32-bit
Video card GeForce 8600 GT
Please Help I am not enjoying the game to the fullest because of the lag.

upgrade your ram, and possibly your CPU.

everything else you listed shouldn't effect the lag at all. and the GeForce 8600 GT is a good graphics card by the way. I have one in my computer.

I'm not sure but I think running 32 bit instead of 64 makes it so your RAM functions slower.



But you could get more RAM bud, 4GB sticks are like 15$.



You could always turn down the quality of the game too.
