I have the Sims 2 installed on my computer, and have created many families on it. But, if I get a new computer, can I play my same custom families on the new computer? (i.e. if I install the game on the new computer, will it transfer all my families and neighborhoods as well? If not, how can I copy them onto the new computer...?)

Are you getting a whole new computer?

Well, if you are I guess your gonna lose all the memory because the memory is stored the the hard drive and when you get a new computer you're getting a new hard drive.

So, bummer.

i imagine that is type of unfair. i'm the mum of two boys, 7 and 9. My boys and that i all play Sims Pets. Have your mothers and fathers executed any study into the game? Do they extremely recognize what that is about? on the game your purely "relationship"... no longer some thing distinct than what you're dealing with now in authentic existence being 14. i'm no longer particular your mothers and fathers extremely understand what the game is all about. i'd perchance assemble some preparation for them and teach them that is not any longer what they might nicely be wondering it truly is. As a determine i am going to inform you in case you flow to them particularly and flippantly mutually with your argument, and hear what they might want to assert also, they're going to be more desirable keen to hearken to and with somewhat of success replace their minds. solid success!!!

Well I think you have to transfer your Sims 2 files over to te new computer and then re install it.

But you should ask whoever is transfering all your files for you to save the game files too

Go to the sims website or forum and ask?

Maybe the game data is saved in C:/Documents and Settings/****/App**/ Look in there.

Read the game's help/manual? It may address this problem.

Good luck.
