Specced into Holy (Priest)?

Question

I used to be a disc priest and when i started, it took a while to get use to it but when i got the hang of it, not to brag, i was actually really good.

Now thanks to (grudge) cataclysm, Disc is out the window and i hear a lot of people praising holy for now.
Because i was so use to disc healing, i now have specced in Chikira and all these new talents which werent in holy when i first began.
Sadly unlike dps, you cant exactly "practice" on dummies and your dummies are those poor innocent pugs you go on randoms with.

all i need to know is there any regular heals/emergency heals. i know heal is my main heal and greater is when big heals is needed and never ever touch flash unless it was a dire emergency but i want to know what the new spells like Chikara
my spec is 6/33/3

Your emergency heal is desperate prayer for yourself and flash heal is usually your best bet of an emergency at the moment unless you have time to use a heal Chara and you can use the instant chastise heal (hope this makes sense) but then you're stuck in that healing state for the next, what is it, 30 seconds?



I like to spec into serendipity and keep two stacks up so I can throw out a fast greater heal or prayer of healing if I have to.



As far as regular heals go it depends on the situation. I usually use renew or prayer of healing for my regular heals. Be sure you keep your chastise heal up at all times, mana permitting. If you're not in any real danger and the damage is predictable use heal but make sure you stay in your healing state.



Also keep prayer of mending up at all times and use circle of heling everytime it's off cooldown and you have a use for it.

im a raid healing shaman now. it's been ages since i've played my priest (ulduar was the last time)

unfortunately attackable targets cannot be healed. Thus, healing dummies would be a waste. :(



If you want to test heals, go to Ironforge, sit at the bridge, and heal randoms as they walk back and forth from the Auction House to the mailbox. you can use meters to check your numbers but really the only reason meters are used are to make sure our raid healers aren't being retarded. healing meters are worthless except, as i said, for testing purposes.
