If you own land or a house in second life, does it earn some kind of interest percentage or market value over time just like in real life?

It does not earn interest but depending where you buy the land, you can resell it quick and if you are lucky more than what you have paid for. But you still have to pay monthly tiers so you would not buy land to expect it have a value and I hear Linden Labs are making new changes with buying sims which I think will make it a bit harder to resell sims.

No really, Especially now that Linden is giving away Land AND A House (to account holders)
I bought my Land from "Governor Linden" at an Auction real cheap, and sold it ( flipped it )
for a bit more, but at the end of the day I didn't make much ( less then 20% ) after classified fees.
