How do you send messages in ps3 ?

people keep on seding me msgs while playing guitar hero, and i dont reply because i dont know how? ...

hit the PS button I believe you go to friends or messages something like that and you find and type it up.

Hold the PS button to bring up your menu.



Go to Network or Friends (depending on your firmware)



Go to your desired friend and press triangle.



Now press send then press send new message.



Use your controller or usb keyboard and type the message.



Press send using the X button.



Press PS again to return to your game.

The XMB is the Cross Media Bar aka the thing you move left, right, up, and down to select things in the menu it's the screen you get when your browsing your photos, etc.

First while ure in game press the PS button to get to the XMB (it doesnt quit the game, just pauses it). Next go over to the right to your friends list. People who have sent you messages will have a little mail symbol beside their icon. move over to them and press triangle. then click message list to read all the messages. there will also be a reply button to reply to the messages. to send a message to someone without having to reply to an old message, you'll select create message instead of message list.
